WATERMAN 425 LARGE MECHANICAL PENCIL IN STERLING SILVER OVERLAY, c1925

Here’s a really excellent large size WATERMAN STERLING SILVER mechanical pencil from about 1925. I think the model number for this pencil is #425. It is 5-3/8 long with with a hefty barrel diameter. The pencil has the FILIGREE STERLING SILVER OVERLAY. Within the the monogram box, there is a large three letter block imprint, “BSA” (possibly Boy Scouts of America). The tapered end front end is hard rubber with a stainless steel tip. Marked WATERMAN’S just below the eraser cap and STERLING MADE in USA at the base of the barrel. The clip is marked STERLING and WATERMAN’S IDEAL with GLOBE logo. The pencil is a tip twist advance and it operates perfectly using. The top twists off to allow removal of the lead magazine and eraser. There is no eraser and no extra lead in the magazine. Lovely pencil and in super condition.
