Thanks very much for looking at our listing for this Yard O Led Corinthian Sterling Silver Pencil, which comes with its wooden presentation box (including outer), unstamped information booklet and leather pouch. The pencil has been regularly, but carefully used over the years, and is presented in lovely overall condition – the previous owner advised that it was sent to Yard O Led for a full service and has not been used since. We don’t have paperwork to confirm this, but certainly there is no reason to doubt that the work was carried out. If you’re not familiar with Yard O Led then here’s a very quick introduction. The company was founded in England in 1934 and has produced stunning writing instruments ever since. The name comes from the fact that the early patent allowed the pencil to hold 12 three inch leads… Making it a yard of lead! The Corinthian model is a deeply impressive writing instrument… Taking its inspiration from the corinthian columns of ancient Greece. It’s crafted from AG925 Sterling Silver and all the correct hallmarks can be found on the barrel and cap. We’ve polished the pencil and left a little of the natural patina.
