Vintage Waterman 452 1/2 V Fountain Pen (Ring Top). Working (New Ink Sac) Pen. Very Nice Nib. Attractive antique pen that is restored to working. Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. This pen is 1 Very collectible and 2 a Very nice writer, Nice nib for an artist or writer… Very nice nib in this pen!! Sterling Silver Cap & Barrel Overlay , Filigree pattern – Solid Sterling Overlays and parts- (Sterling Silver Lever Box) – There is some honest wear, some age and use showing, the place for engraving is not engraved, the visible hard rubber is excellent with some fade to dark brown, the “452 1/2V” is quite clear on the end, a Very attractive approx 95 year old working pen in my humble opinion :. Working vintage (Classic) Circa 1925 pen , it is a very usable a Writing Tool also :- It is ready to fill with ink & write :- with a very nice nib :- No brassing as it is Solid. 925 Sterling Silver :. The lever works perfectly – Excellent sterling silver Lever Box assy. The feed has been ultrasonically cleaned & has a brand new quality ink sac just installed – The cap threads on securely & it posts very well. IDEAL #2 14K Gold Nib , 14K, (PLEASE SEE THE NIB PHOTOS) the tip is a Medium point, finer with a light hand quite smooth, even on cheap paper, with Excellent Iridium tipping (See photo) , thid is almost wet noodle, for sure a super flex, Easy line variation, Flexing from “M” point to 2.1 mm possible but I would stay at 1.9mm or below for nib longevity, When you want some line variation, it goes from a fine point to a wider line as shown with Easy to medium pressure, it has a nice easy soft feel. It will provide excellent line variation & expression. Great for everyday writing, for doodling , sketching , or every day note taking and/or letter writing :. The writing sample was made by actually filling the pen with ink & writing with it – The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart. The inks are Waterman Inspired/South Sea Blue & Diamine Monaco Red. The writing sample will be included with the pen. SMALL VEST POCKET SIZE PEN – It is approx 3 & 5/8″ capped, and just under 5″ posted. Fits my hand well when posted – Classic Fountain Pen! I HAVE OTHER PENS LISTED. Vintage SWAN – Mabie Todd Fountain Pen. Working (New Ink Sac) Pen / VERY Nice Nib. Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. PLEASE READ – This is a collectible 20s fountain pen, and also a very functional writing tool. This is a very sturdy & fully operational vintage pen – there is only the most minor wear, Extremely well preserved – No dings , no scratches, there is a 3 letter engraving on the side B. As shown, the imprints are very clear. This is a Lever fill mechanism, This all works perfectly – The cap threads on very well (tightly) & posts perfectly. Ready to ink & Write :- The feed has been ultrasonically cleaned & heat set to the nib, deep ink channel, good ink flow. (and a new quality ink sac :-). Smaller pen, and as original it has no clip, as it is a Ring Top – posts at 5 & 3/16″, and 3 & 7/8″ capped (Good size for writing when posted, and not to thin in my opinion). Beautiful Nib, 14K , – (please see the close up photos of the nib) very Clean nib with X Fine tip , with perfect iridium (see photo), Good ink flow, a very good performer. The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue(inspired), & Diamine Monaco Red.
