The cap top and barrel end cap have a black lacquer circle, with the cap having a Waterman’W’ logo in the center. This 5 9/16 inch long pen has the Ideal 18 karat gold nib. The pen is a cartridge / converter fill type. We filled the pen and wrote with it and it writes a firm, wet even fine line. The tines were checked and they look aligned.
