Very early production 15 S OVERSIZED STERLING OVELAY Waterman Safety Pen. 5 sized safety pens are uncommon. A 5 sized safety pen with an overlay is even more rare. Finally, Clip-Cap models are even harder to find. No model number visible on barrel end. This is common with pens that had corks replaced earlier in their lives. The original patina has been left as some like this. You may of course polish it once it is yours should you desire. The only condition issue with this pen is that the top of the cap is no longer perfectly rounded as pictured. The seal in the pen is as found and I have not filled the pen. It would have been filled with an eye dropper. The pocket clip is tight and in perfect condition. The cap screws on securely and smoothly. The nib advances easily and spirals as it extends when the bottom of the pen is turned. The 14K Waterman No. 5 nib has plenty of iridium as pictured and is medium and flexible. This LARGE pen is 5 1/4 inches long capped and just under 6 5/8 inches posted for writing. The cap is 9/16 inch in diameter. See pictures for detail!
