MODEL DESCRIPTION: Victorinox used to offer a wider range of “luxury” knives, including about 8 patterns with sterling silver scales. Now it is down to 3 patterns, and shrinking gradually. This one has a basketweave pattern, which was retired in the early 2000s. It must have been produced during a period when silver prices were low, since it is rather hefty (49.1 grams, or about 1 3/4 oz). The knife has a blank engraving panel on the reverse side. It comes with a gray plush bag. CONDITION NOTE: We took this knife out of its sealed package and gave it a careful cleaning and inspection. There is a small rub mark on the blade, and a few rub marks on both sides of the silver box.
