It has marbled red celluloid as i was told in the middle and a ring of red at the top where it has a 1912 on it. It is marked at the middle Montegrappa. Above that it is stamped 925 in 2 places along with a star 1140MI. The pen writes perfect. The sterling needs polishing.

By the Edward Todd Pen Co. “Vest Pocket” pens were short (approx 3.5in), ringtop fountain pens manufactured during the early 20th century, as accessories to be attached to one half of a double-albert pocketwatch chain, with the watch and the pen being stored in opposing pockets on a man’s waistcoat (hence “vest-pocket” pen). Pen has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and resacced, and is in full working order.
