For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Sheaffer Targa White Dot Limited Edition CP1 Sterling Silver Fountain Pen fitted with an 14K Solid Gold Nib. This fountain pen has never been inked, comes with the original box, documentation – I consider this pen New Old Stock and Mint Condition. This Limited Edition Fountain Pen is the first limited edition from Classic Pens (CP) and is series CP1. It was a cooperation between Classic Pens, Sheaffer and Murelli. The CP1 series was launched in 1990 and consisted of a limited edition of 250 pens. The CP1 pens are therefore are very exclusive, scarce, and desirable. The CP1 Targa is fully covered in sterling silver. It was offered in a single world wide edition of 250 pens in the rich Vannerie (Basketweave) pattern. This pattern is exclusive to Classic Pens for the Targa in sterling silver. The pens are laser engraved on the cap ornament with the CP1 logo and the individual limited edition number. This Sheaffer Legacy CP1 displays a beautiful Sterling Silver basketweave pattern referred to a “Vannerie” with 23K Gold Electroplated Clip fitted with a solid 14K/585 gold nib. The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, wear to the finish. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing. This fountain pen has never been inked and in Mint Condition. This Fountain Pen measures 5 3/8″ inches capped and 6″ posted. This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Targa CP1 Fountain Pen and is a Limited Edition 220 of 250. This Sheaffer has the Ink Converter Filling system and works as it was designed to – I tested with water and works perfectly. Or one can use Sheaffer ink cartridges. A certificate of authenticity signed by Andreas Lambrou accompanies this pen. The nib is marked 14K Sheaffer 585 and has a fine point measuring. 58mm when measuring with digital calipers. This Sheaffer 14K/585 Fine Nib shows no signs of ever being inked. The Inlaid Nib does show a hint of flex which is unusual for a Sheaffer inlaid Nib – it is a nice surprise. This Sheaffer Legacy CP1 Targa Fountain Pen does have the original box and documentation – it is in perfect condition with all documentation. This Sheaffer Legacy CP1 Limited Edition Fountain Pen is a very scarce example and certainly a treasured writing instrument for one’s collection. I would consider this Sheaffer Targa CP1 to be New Old Stock, Never Inked and in Mint Condition. A marvelous addition to your writing arsenal collection.
