VINTAGE c1980 SHEAFFER NOSTALGIA STERLING SILVER OVERLAY FOUNTAIN PEN 14K

This beautiful Vintage c1980 Sheaffer’s Nostlagia Sterling Silver Overlay Fountain Pen measures. 5 ¼ inch capped, 4 5/8 inch uncapped and 6 ¾ inch posted. In 1970 Sheffer reintroduced the Nostalgia as Nostalgia/1924 and then reintroduced it again in this version in 1980. With a Sterling overlay (marked on cap) and scrollwork true to the original version. Of course, this later version uses cartridges (five are included) or a pressbar converter (included) to fill from bottled ink. Pen has original inner and outer boxes, instructions/advertising, cartridges and converter. (see pictures) Note the original sticker price plate in the original box. Nib is 14K and clip carries the famous white dot at the top. No obvious scratches and the black barrel under the overlay is dark and shiny with no color change or fading to be seen. (see pictures) I have not used the pen since I obtained it more than 15 years ago. All have been refurbished when I bought them, and are filled, not dipped (except where mint or other stated problems prevent it) written with and tested again when I put them up for sale. My descriptions and close up photos go the extra mile, so please examine them carefully. Put drafting ink such as India ink or Carters drawing ink in the pen. It will ruin the pen.
