OMAS Krug Limited Special Edition Fountain Pen. 925 Silver and oak wood. Very first Omas pen from the so called OMAS Wine Series. Followed by Omas Château Lafite Rothschild, Omas Solaia (Marchesi Antinori), Omas Solaia Harvest Celebration and Omas Perrier-Jouët. Sensual to the touch, this pen is made from pale oak, striped with sterling silver bands, calling to mind the texture of a fine oak wine barrel. This is no accident. The Omas Krug is crafted from the very same oak barrels as used by the famous Krug winemaker in the manufacture of their Champagne. This elegant pen is highlighted by five sterling silver rings, two top and bottom and three in the middle and a clip engraved with a leaf and vine pattern. 5 ¾ (14.5 cm). Medium (M) 18 k two-toned, rhodium-plated gold nib. Offered in a matte finish oak box (with inner pen stand) together with an illustrated outer box, a large pamphlet chronicling the origins of the project and a OMAS pen pouch. Please notice that because of neglicence on the part of the original sallesman there is a mismatching between the number engraved on the fountain pen (#557/843) and the number stamped on the papers & outer box (#556/843). Krugs extraordinary champagne is made from the combination of grapes coming from 21 different vineyards and from 6 to 10 different vintages, one of which dates back to the start of the 1970s.
