Vintage SWAN – Mabie Todd Fountain Pen. Working (New Ink Sac) Pen / VERY Nice Nib. Please enlarge all 12 photos & read all the text for detail. PLEASE READ – This is a collectible 20s fountain pen, and also a very functional writing tool. This is a very sturdy & fully operational vintage pen – there is only the most minor wear, Extremely well preserved – No dings , no scratches, there is a 3 letter engraving on the side B. As shown, the imprints are very clear. This is a Lever fill mechanism, This all works perfectly – The cap threads on very well (tightly) & posts perfectly. Ready to ink & Write :- The feed has been ultrasonically cleaned & heat set to the nib, deep ink channel, good ink flow. (and a new quality ink sac :-). Smaller pen, and as original it has no clip, as it is a Ring Top – posts at 5 & 3/16″, and 3 & 7/8″ capped (Good size for writing when posted, and not to thin in my opinion). Beautiful Nib, 14K , – (please see the close up photos of the nib) very Clean nib with X Fine tip , with perfect iridium (see photo), Good ink flow, a very good performer. The Paper is from a Rhodia Dotpad No. 16, the dots are 5mm apart to help you gauge the line variation. The inks are Waterman South Sea Blue(inspired), & Diamine Monaco Red.
