The Montblanc Meisterstuck fountain pens are well known among the best pens in the world, and the Solitaire series is the De-Luxe version of these pens: made of solid 925 sterling silver or vermeil (gold on silver) they are as good as the regular meisterstuck but richer and stronger because of their metal (solid 925 silver) body and/or cap. The only two fountain pens made in silver or vermeil are the 144 (the small one) and the 146 (the big one of this series, called LeGrand), while the giant 149 cannot be found with the silver or the silver-gilt body. So the 146 LeGrand, belonging to the”Solitaire” series, is the biggest of the silver models. This pen is absolutely in brand new condition, never used, never inked, never touched, with the rare “Barley” pattern (rarer than “Godron”), it is 143mm long and the 14k gold nib is F size. It comes with the proper vintage case, the old outer box and the booklet. I guarantee that the pen is new, never inked. The retail price in Italy was 865 Euro many years ago, but I think it has been more expensive in USA. Il decoro è il cosidetto “Barley”, più raro del “Godron” (righe verticali). Il pennino, 14k, è di misura F. Completa di scatola “vinatge”, controscatola e libretto. Eventual micro-signs are due to various movings, not to use, the pen is a truly new-old-stock item, never inked.
