Vintage Sheaffer Imperial Sterling Silver Diamond Cut Fountain Pen, Box Nr MINT. This is a rare Sheaffer Imperial Sterling Silver fountain pen cut in a diamond pattern with gold plated trim and a 14K gold nib. Dates from the 1980’s. This is a superb quality item in its original box. Comes with an unused press bar filler. Near mint cosmetic condition. Superb Sterling Silver body and cap in a diamond cut design are unmarked with no dings, dents, scratches or wear. Stamped “Sheaffer USA Sterling Silver” on the cap band with hallmarks. All Gold trim is in perfect condition. Clip is a nice fit and properly aligned. The clip has a lovely clean white dot. The nib is a 14K inlaid nib, stamped “Sheaffer 585 14K” and looks to be in perfect condition. It looks like a size fine nib. The pen uses either cartridges or a filler. A press bar type filler is included and is in excellent condition. Filler not tested as I do not want to dirty it. Dip tested and it writes beautifully (see photo of writing sample). Pen has been flushed after testing and given a light hand polish. It comes in a Sheaffer presentation box which is in excellent condition apart from a tiny mark on the top.
