WATERMAN Exception Fountain pen. Converter (supplied) or standard cartridges (one box of 8 supplied). 2000’s. Still manufactured today. 142 X 13.5 mm. IDEAL 18K 750 ” and “M on the feeder. Serial number – Sterling silver hallmark. Waterman are known for their meticulously detailed writing instruments and the Exception is a fantastic example of this craftsmanship. Launched in the 1990’s, the Exception has an eye-catching four-sided design. This is the sterling silver version, which is then engraved with a striped design. This top of the line pen is the successor of the highly succesfull Man 100. This « Exception » is the « large » model and a quite heavy pen, reminiscent of the sterling silver Man 100. The exception is still manufactured today even though the « Sterling Silver » model has been discontinued. The pen is virtually new with box and papers. It may have never been inked and carry the tiny scratches from manipulation, typical of all sterling silver pens. This pen comes with a « M nib. A very nice and collectible pen from Waterman.
