Here’s a truly eye-catching WATERMAN MAN 100 FOUNTAIN PEN in solid sterling silver. This beautiful pen is nearly 5-3/4″ long and with just under 1/2″ barrel diameter. It has extensive gold plated trim with the marking on the wider lower cap band WATERMAN MADE IN FRANCE and serialized on the adjacent sterling band 07005. Double French Sterling hallmarks are found on both the cap and barrel within the GODRON-like sterling pattern. The clip base bears the gold plated mark and the gold insert at the top of the cap has the Waterman logo. The extensive gold plated trim is excellent with the exception of wear to the upper of the two lower barrel rings. The sterling surface has some denting. On the cap within the cartouche there is a cluster (2 maybe 3) dents kind of joined together, but prominent because of the plain surface in this area. At the base of the barrel is one smaller, but deeper dent…. All of which are shown in the last two photos. In spite of these minor flaws the pen retains a superb appearance. The pen is equipped with a converter filler. The nib is a two-toned BROAD 18K nib with beautiful engraving. It is a left oblique nib, but I haven’t deciphered the rest of the markings on the feed…. The pen comes in a large WATERMAN box which may or may not be original.. But as it came to me.
