Sheaffer Legacy 925 sterling fountain pen, interrupted barleycorn, Touchdown fil

Lovely Sheaffer Legacy in sterling silver with interrupted barleycorn pattern; very little evidence of use. I would call it micro-wear. No scratches, scrapes, dings, etc. If you think you see anything like that in the pictures, it’s a trick of the lighting. In the main photo, if it appears there is a small gap between the end cap and the barrel, that is definitely a lighting issue — the end cap seats exactly as it should. I bought it new in the’90s for my large collection and used it only a few times. The Touchdown filler operates properly and the pen writes beautifully — very smooth on the paper and a nice moderate ink laydown from its Medium 18K nib. The nib is stamped SHEAFFER 18K 750 ® and something in a horizontal oval that I cannot make out. The cap band is stamped 925 STERLING SILVER SHEAFFER USA and, in a horizontal oval, STE. PF or is that PP? So that’s probably also what’s stamped on the nib. The cap seats firmly and securely when capping; it seats securely when posting. The pen is 5 3/8 long when capped. This is a beautiful pen in exceptional condition. I have enjoyed owning and using it, and I think you will, too.
