Limited edition 2002 Italian Montegrappa sterling silver and red marbled resin fountain pen with 18K gold 2-tone Fine nib. Solid silver medium relief continuous scene of an of under a tree. The model is one in the series of pens produced by Montegrappa and dedicated to different animals of the Chinese Zodiac – the ox in this case. Good gift for somebody born in the year of the. Ox: 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009 and 2021. Solid silver trims with markings: on the cap – MONTEGRAPPA and serial number of this pen 0454, on the trim below nib – MONTEGRAPPA and 2004, and on the lower part by the rotating filling plunger – 925 and Italian silver hallmark. In excellent condition, probably was never inked, nicely heavy, extremely pleasant to hold, comes with red leather case. Length capped 5 1/4 inches. Only parts shown on photos are included.
